Axpert VM-III 5kW (48V)

The 3rd generation Axpert VM-III combines the functions of an Inverter/Charger for grid backup with an 80A MPPT Solar Charge Controller for PV generation into one wall-mount 10kg enclosure. It’s ideal for single-phase residential or SME sites.

With a Power Factor of 1, it’s 5kVA rating provides 5kW of continuous Pure Sine Wave output (10kW surge rating). And it’s 60A (3kW) AC charging rate is ideal for grid-backup as it can rapidly charge batteries,and it’s wide AC input voltage is compatible with a generator on a change-over switch so the backup genset can be used to charge batteries.

Easy PV String Design

It’s wide MPPT range (120-450V) and high maximum DC input voltage (500V) maximises flexibility of PV string design, permitting all PV panels to be placed in series. The integrated 80A MPPT Solar Charge Controller provides 4kW of PV charging but with its 500V Open Circuit Voltage up to 5kWp of PV can be connected to allow for temperature losses.

Uninterrupted AC Power (UPS Function), down to 10ms Response Time

In the event of power cuts, the VMI-III’s inverter is automatically activated and supplies 5kW of back-up power to connected loads. The default response time is 20ms (with AC input voltage of 90-280V AC) but can be configured to 10ms (with a narrower AC input voltage of 170-280V) for computers and other sensitive electrical equipment.

Plug & Play Compatibility with Pylontech Lithium Batteries.

All Axpert inverters support lead acid with adjustable voltage values as well as a range of Battery Equalisation settings for flooded batteries. However, VM-III is the first Axpert inverter to feature integrated RS-485 & CAN communication ports for connecting to the Battery Management System (BMS) of Pylontech lithium batteries, capable of up to 6000 cycles and fast 0.5C charging. Simply plug in Pylontech’s included RJ45 cable to for optimal performance.

 Built-in Bluetooth and Android App

With integrated Bluetooth connectivity and Android app, the VM-III can be configured by installers on-site from their smartphone, rather than needing to navigate the on-screen menu.
